Thank you for entering my giveaway! To enter the giveaway, I asked readers to tell me about their craziest athletic adventure in honor of the book’s author, Marshall Ulrich, who ran across the United States.
I absolutely loved reading about your crazy adventures!
*Running through blizzards
*Running through intense heat
*Training for marathons
*Racing a new distance- this one is always scary. Whether its a 5k or a marathon!
*Running up a canyon into a foot of snow.
*Running through the everglades at night. Alligators = so scary!
*Racing an uphill half marathon. Check out Page’s Race Report and read her mom’s comments…hysterical!
*Backflips on a 4-in beam! Kelly, this one could be the scariest of them all for me!
*Running 10-miles to high school!
*Sprint Triathlons
*Hood to Coast
*Tough Mudder
*The Mt. Taylor Quadrathalon:
I think one of the craziest things I have done twice is the Mt. Taylor Quadratholon. It’s in Grants, New Mexico. You start out by biking 13 miles up to Mt. Taylor then run 5 miles, then cross-country ski 2 miles then snow show 1 mile to the top then do it all again in reverse!! It’s super fun but crazy!!
Thank you for sharing all of your crazy endeavors with me! They are all very inspiring and you are ALL more adventurous than I am!
I am enjoying my new Mac, but have had a few questions so I thought I would address them here.
If you are still catching up, the hard drive on my lap top recently crashed. Fortunately, most of my things were backed up on an external hard drive, and even more exciting, my dad actually restored my old computer so I got everything back that I wanted.
I have always used PCs in the past, but I have been interested in getting a Mac for awhile now. I ended up going with the 13-inch Mac Book Pro.
What I Love About My Mac Book
*Photo Editing Capabilities
*Garageband- I hope to start teaching group fitness soon and am excited to use garage band to edit the speed of the music, etc.
*How easy it is to use.
*The apple support team.
*Website design/creative capabilities.
*Less viruses to worry about.
Things My PC Did Better
*Blogging. Windows Live Writer is much better than Ecto.
*Word Processing
I am still learning and I’m sure I will find out much more about my new computer but those are the things that stand out to me. I am also still getting used to not having a Right Click Button.
*I have asked this question before but are you a Mac or PC user?
*Do you use Windows Live Writer or Ecto? Or do you just use blogger, wordpress, etc.?
The cool thing about the blogging programs is you can drop pictures into the document, you don’t have to upload them. Makes things much easier, especially in picture heavy posts.
*You still have time to enter my giveaway!
I will announce the winner on Monday.
Have a great Friday!
