Morning Tempo Run

So yesterday morning I took a page out of the book of some of my favorite Floridian bloggers and set my alarm for 5am to run. Its funny because it is always easier for me to get up at 5am than it is to get up at my regular 6:15 wake up. The hardest part if setting the alarm the night before. I really wanted to do this run the right way and if I ran after work it wasn’t going to happen.

The Workout: 2 mile warm up, 3 miles @ 7:14, 1 mile cool down

Average HR: 156 bpm
Max HR: 185 bpm (100% of HR max according to Garmin)
*I need to get a more accurate number for my HR max. Apparently, 220-your age is now antiquated, and it is definitely not accurate for me.

It was a great run. Yesterday was my last day of work until after labor day :) Today I plan to relax a bit then go to a mat pilates class at the gym with my mom and then we are going shopping. Yay for vacation :)
